Our Clinic
Our treatment room is completely private and we have ipads and a games console for the children to play on while we carry out our services. We have a variety of teas and coffees for parents and hope to bring a calm and peaceful atmosphere to you. We can try to accommodate any extra requests if you contact us before hand.
It’s not just a service for children, as a long-haired parent, I know I would struggle to treat myself, ensuring lotions were evenly distributed and combed through thoroughly.
Treatment
At the York Headlice Clinic we want to make sure we get rid of 100% of your bugs from nit, to larvae. We use an eco-friendly, perfume-free, chemical-free and hypoallergenic anti-headlice treatment, which is not only highly effective but non-damaging to your hair.
1st Appointment
In our first session, we can assess the problem and begin with the application of our specialist treatment. Your hair will then be meticulously combed through to ensure all sections have had all visible lice removed. The treatment needs to remain on your hair for 2 hours, so we'll send you home with full instructions on how to wash it off (don’t worry, its nothing too in depth!)
2nd Appointment
A follow up appointment 7-10 days after the first is necessary to break the cycle of lice, egg, larvae. Here we will meticulously check for all stages of lice and ensure they are full removed. We can book this appointment when attending your first session. For larger infestations further appointments may be necessary.
